Annual General Assembly 2021

Dear AWAPEI Member,

On behalf of the Aboriginal Women’s Association of PEIs, the Board of Directors are pleased to invite you to attend this year’s Annual General Assembly, which is being held on Saturday, November 20th, 2021. AWAPEI is sending this letter of notice in accordance with the Constitution; (Article XIII – Item 4, Meetings, which states that all membership be notified twenty- one (21) days prior to the Annual General Assembly).

This year the Annual General Assembly is being held at the John J Sark School Gymnasium, 24 Eagle Feather Trail, Lennox Island, C0B 1J0. Registration will be from 8:30 am until 9:00 am. Due to public health guidelines and new regulations regarding Covid-19, proof of vaccination will be required to attend the AGA. You must have had your second dose fourteen (14) days before the AGA. The health and wellbeing of our vulnerable people, members, board, and staff are priority. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.  

            *Accommodations will be made to those unvaccinated on a case-by-case basis.*

The Aboriginal Women’s Association of PEI’s Executive, Board, and Staff look forward to presenting to our members the work that has been done over the past year, and what we currently have planned for the upcoming year. We encourage everyone to attend.

This year is an election year for our Secretary-Treasurer, Western Rep, and Youth Alternate. Attached is a nomination and a registration form. Forms are due no later than November 15th.
